Mar 1st. We enter Gambier which is the 2nd largest town in South Australia (26,000 people). The blue lake is a volcanic lake which gets its blue colour from the sediment that lies at the bottom of it. It is up to 200 metres deep in places and supplies a lot of people with a lot of water. The pictures don't do it justice to how brilliant the blue is.
