Melbourne Sports Day #2 - Aussie Rules at the Telstra Dome

Part 2 of our sports day involves a game of Aussie Rules Football. We go to the Telstra Dome to watch an NAB cup match between North Melbourne Kangaroos and Freemantle Dockers. It is a pre-season game in a knockout competition. There are about 10,000 people there so the atmosphere is good and we are nice and close to the pitch.

The result - Kangaroos 100 (1-14-7) and Freemantle 91 (0-13-13). The end was quite dramatic with the Freemantle team needing a super goal to tie the game up but the hooter going off just before they could go for goal. All in all an enjoyable game despite not knowing some of the intricacies of the sport
