After an early start - we exit said sh!t hole and attempt to look for somewhere nicer to stay. We look around Patong beach but don't really like the feel of the place, we decide to check out and get a cab to Karon Beach. Martin and Amanda wander around while I look after the bags and find a decent place. It is called 'My Friends House' which is cool.
I have already decided what I am doing the next few days - I am off on a Live-Aboard trip for 2 days on a boat on the Similan Islands. I will be doing 7 dives in 2 days and can't wait. It is a protected area as well so I hope the diving is worthwhile. It is meant to be one of the best places around here anyway. The only downer is having to get up at 6 tomorrow, I am sure I will cope - hopefully the sea won't be too choppy for the speedboat transfer.
The others have booked themselves on a James Bond adventure - they are going to the Island where The man with the Golden gun was filmed and are doing canoeing, elephant trekking.
