I was hoping to breeze through Customs and get to the hostel - When I got to the stern Homeland Security lady, I tried to explain my itinerary to her and why I didn't have a green card any more (The visa is only good for 90 days, whereas the Canadian one is good for 6 months). Anyway, She sent me into the office (Interrogation room) where I was bombarded by questions for 30 minutes. I had my bags opened and almost everything looked at and questioned. The guy also had a look at my digital camera to see what photos I had been taking. When I mentioned that I had done a blog of my trip, they typed in the address to have a look at it - it didn't load due to their security restrictions on their computers but this added suspicion to myself. No matter how they do things, you always feel guilty and I had to bite my tongue a few times as any sarcastic comment could of led to 'Rubber Glove Time'.
Here are some of the questions:-
How much money do you earn
How much savings do you have, How much did you start with
All of my other stamps in my passport were questioned
Are you married - Do you have a girlfriend back home?
My favourite Question was "What has been your favourite country that you have visited on your travels". I thought about this for a moment - should I say USA just to suck up to him? My reply - "Canada".
Great fun - Welcome to America.

If your blog had loaded then you may have regretted your comment just down the page re Dick Cheney...
Respect is needed to the VP - perhaps his target wasn't wearing hunter orange!
