At the western end of The Mall sits the Lincoln Memorial. Given almost God like status - An enormous statue of 'The Abe' sits in the building with some of his speeches written on the walls. Also for trivia fans, his hands are in the position for the letters A and L in American sign language. Whilst at this place I am asked to take a photo for a couple of girls - one from the US and Slovakia. I think nothing more of this at the moment, but our paths do cross later on. . . . .
