Salty Bear Day 4 - Heritage Trail Bike Ride

Not to be daunted by the pouring rain or the fact that I hadn't ridden a bike in over 20 years!, I decide to join in on todays activity which is a bike ride around Cavendish where we go through forests and eventually will end up at Anne of Green Gables house. After donning wet weather gear and shorts, I hop on my bike and wobble a bit but manage to stay upright although I am not the best at steering. We whizz off down the road and then enter the bike path, it is just a bit muddy so everyone ends up with a lovely brown streak on their backsides so it looks like a bout of dysentry has got us all. The ride itself is absolutely beautiful - even despite the crappy weather. A highlight is when we spot a field with hundreds of Canadian geese and then we scare them so they all take off - The sky was amazing with the geese forming their V's as they flew off. After this we head to Anne of Green Gables house, sopping wet.
