Animals - Why you should cross the road safely

This is a warning to all animals who risk their lives daily crossing Canada's roads. Heed this TRUE tale and tell your loved furry or not so furry ones.
Pat, one of the guides at the Log Cabin was driving along in the Thunderstorm - All of a sudden a raccoon runs out in front of the truck and Pat tries to avoid it but hits it. He stops and goes out to look at what has happened and hears a high pitched whining noise from the Raccoon. It is clear he has only managed to run over the back legs of the raccoon and it is in a huge amount of pain and isn't going anywhere soon. Pat (As all concerned wildlife lovers are) wants to put this animal out of its misery and tries to think of what he can use. 'Luckily' for some reason he has a Double sided axe in the back of the truck and what better way to 'make sure'. Pat gets the axe, goes back to the raccoon and then lines himself up and does the 1-2-3 and then swings. The raccoon falls silent, Pat has closed his eyes so doesn't see the damage. He then proceeds to try and sweep the raccoon off the side of the road and hilariously another car passes him by holding a bloody axe and kicking a raccoon into the forest at the side of the road. Here endeth the lesson.
