Sep 5th. Literally the tallest building in the world, The
CN tower dominates the Toronto Skyline at 553 metres and is the tallest free standing structure on land. The weather has cleared up this afternoon so it would be rude not to whizz up and have a look for myself. There are 2 stages to the tower, the 1st is the observation deck which stands at 338 metres high and then there is the SkyPod which is 447 metres high - on a clear day you can see the mist rising from Niagara falls (Not when I was there). The view is pretty sweet as the huge skyscrapers downtown look small in comparison. After looking from the SkyPod, I descend down and then tread on the Glass Floor on the Observation deck where you can scare yourself for free by looking straight down for 334 metres to the ground below. Quite cool.
Pictures (Left, Right) - View from the SkyPod, (Bottom) - My Feet looking down 334m to the floor - quite an interesting feeling.
