Piegan Pass Hike

Aug 30th. Another early start, I had originally intended to do the Cracker Lake hike today but aborted it due to the trail being covered in Horse sh!t with flies buzzing around. I then drove 15 miles on the Going to the sun Road to do the piegan Pass hike - It is 5 miles up to the pass and then retrace your steps back down. The trail is pretty quiet but I am on my whistle as I pass through the forest at the start and just as I blow my whistle, there is a black tailed deer on the trail and she gives me a look like 'What the hell is that racket'. She passes away and watches me go by on the trail before disappearing off into the forest. The trail rises above the treeline and through some nice alpine meadows with lots of flowers in them and again, there are great views of the terrain. The final section is along a rocky section which is a bit of a pain but the views on the other side of the pass are spectacular . .
Pictures (Left) - View of Mountain with Glacier on it, (Right) - View of the Pass and trail leading up to it, (Bottom) - View looking back down the valley from the trail, my car is parked where the road does the U-Bend.
