Aug 28th. I leave Lake Louise behind and head South towards Montana, USA. This is about a 500km drive so along the way, what better place to visit than the World Heritage site with the rather long and interesting name. This place is where the native people used to round up and chase buffalo over the edge of the cliff to kill them. The name comes from a young native who wanted to watch the buffalo jump off the cliff from underneath the ledge and got his head smashed in in the process. The site itself is a bit touristy but there is a lot of cool history there. There also was a Hoary Marmot living along the cliffs for added value. After this I continued down across the US border (No problems with customs or warrants for my arrest) and then arrived at East Glacier Village where I will be doing some hikes in Glacier National Park.
