Sep 13th. I get the coach back to Toronto after saying goodbye to Sarah and then I decide to get the train to Ottawa which should take 4 hours - thankfully it is only 20 minutes late which is reasonable compared to the Ontario Northlander experience. The lady who is sitting next to me is quite grateful when I tell her what my job used to be and she happens to have a laptop with a problem which I am able to sort out for her. When I arrive at Ottawa, I get the bus into town and then see where I am staying - the Hostel used to be the county jail which stopped having prisioners in the 1970's and then had hostellers since. I enter my jail cell complete with bars on the door and look around the building. It is such an awesome place and it is meant to be haunted. I don't ask how many people died in the cell I am staying in as I probably don't want to know!

Hi Chris: At last, I am at a computer, my own, but have been on the road, just like yourself, but no access, unlike yourself.
I am writing from the Prettiest Town in Canada, Goderich, to thank you for helping me with my computer's lost programs, years of work, that I thought I lost.
It was a pure joy meeting with you. I love what you are doing...it takes courage, strength and the knowledge that there are other things to do in the world but work. Good for you. My biggest effort in life was to go to University after I raised our five children and that was getting way out of my comfort zone.
I will continue to follow your blog...am not at the computer every day, but will catch up. This is the first opportunity I've had to write since my travels.
I like the fact that you photograph little animals and things that we take for granted in every day life. The big, grandure elements like churches, stadiums, etc. are wonderful to view.
Thanks for sharing your blog address with me.
I hope you get back to Hamilton when you are finished and find comfort there.
Sincerely
Pat Martin
