Just when I had given up hope of seeing one of these creatures, Cousin Paul takes us to a secluded spot where Platypi are known to live. We stand quietly along the bank and we are lucky to see a couple of them. Sadly I didn't get any pictures as they were quite a way away but anyway it was cool to see wild ones. This means that I have seen both Monotreme animals in Australia (The other one is an Echidna which I saw in Tassie). They are mammals that lay eggs.
