What can be said about a town that doesn't appear in the Lonely Planet. Here are some comments from someone who worked on the Yongala dive team who lived there for 1 year.
It was the most miserable year of my life - There is nothing to do in the town apart from pig hunting*, drinking and fighting.
* - Pig hunting is a lovely term for going out and finding a woman for the night, not actually going and killing an animal. Lovely turn of phrase.

The same can be said of Ayr in Scotland, where Andrew grew up.
