Mission Beach to Cairns
Apr 4th. We pack up - No Tsunami warnings so far today and get to the greyhound station ready for our 2 hour journey to Cairns which is our final port of call in Australia. The usually reliable Greyhound is 45 minutes late and is one of the older coaches in use. This means that the driver seems to struggle to change up a gear and one point he stops going up a hill. I guess this is the reason why he was late. It seems changing gear is like wrestling a croc - The driver is ripe for retirement I think. Anyhow, we get to Cairns in 1 piece and then check in to our place and then take care of some odds and sods like confirming our Air ticket to NZ and buying supplies. Only 8 days left in Oz.
