Bright Angel Trail

The Bright Angel trail is a trail that leads from the top of the South Rim right down to the Colorado River below. It is really hot as I begin the trek which is a shame as I would really like to head as far down as possible. The downward track is pretty easy but dusty and offers some cool views back up as it rapidly descends. I reach the 3 mile place in about an hour and rest up and have lunch. It is now 106 degrees F (Over 40 degrees C) so the wise decision is to head back up. After 1 hour 45 minutes of slog I am back up to the rim again where I take the shuttle bus around to see other view points along the way to Hermits Rest. After all this it is back to Flagstaff where I have another ice cream from my favourite ice cream shop. This time Vanilla and M&M's. Well deserved too.
