Sequoia NP

Jul 14th. After the long drive from Vegas yesterday it is time for some more outdoors action - this time back in California and Sequoia National Park. This park is joined with Kings Canyon where I shall be tomorrow but Sequoia features some enormous trees including the biggest tree in the world (based on volume). The pictures don't do the trees justice - they are amzingly big and impossible to photograph. The biggest tree is General Sherman and also there is the General Grant, the 3rd largest tree and America's official Xmas tree. I spend some time walking around the trees and see some deer - no bears though which is probably a good thing.
