Country and Western Radio

While driving around the States there are areas where it is difficult to pick up radio stations - except Country and Western stations that is. It is a real pity that this music is dreadful on the ears although I have come across a few gems along the way. Take Brian Paisleys wonderful 'Online' which features lyrics such as "'Cause even on a slow day, I could have a three way, Chat with two women at one time". Genius stuff indeed. Also, there was a local arm wrestling contest advertised which sounded pretty good but most disturbingly was a song that was about a cowboy who fell off his horse and was paralysed and in a persistive vegetative state. The song went on about how his wife cleaned and fed him and missed the gleam in his eye. Somebody please tell me why?
