International Crab Racing

Jun 26th. One of the highlights of my stay on Octopus was the international Crab Racing. The kids were really getting in to it by getting a small hermit crab and spending the day training it up. I picked one up just before the racing which was a bit feisty as it kept trying to nip me - I had to drop it in a glass to save my fingers. All the crabs have their shells labelled with Tip-Ex and then are put in the centre of a circle and they have to cross the next line out to progress to the next round. My crab was pretty quick but unfortunately had no sense of direction so kept doubling back on itself so I got knocked out in the first round. Stupid crab.
