Jul 1st. Time to take in America's favourite summer pastime - Baseball. I am slightly unusual compared to most English people in that I really like most American sports. I get the bus to the stadium which I have the misfortune of having a really fat person squashed next to me - They needed 1 1/2 to 2 seats. Anyway I get to the game slightly late but it is a beautiful sunny day and I have good seats to watch the action. Dodger Stadium is one of the more famous parks in the States and the San Diego Padres are visiting. The game is quite good - 2 Home runs for the Dodgers but the Padres don't really seem too interested in winning. The Dodgers run out 5-0 winners in the end. I was sitting next to a Padres fan who had come up from San Diego to watch his team.
