Ranger's Unofficial Advice on Bear Spray

Had a quick chat with a Ranger about Bear spray - his comments were along these lines. "I don't think that the Bear spray will do too much if you have a 700 pound p!ssed off animal charging at you and you have to wait till it gets 8 feet away before spraying it. You might as well spray yourself in the eyes so you don't have to see what the bear is going to do to you". Quality stuff.
