Yoho NP - Emerald Basin Trail

Aug 21st. The weather is a bit foggy at the start of the day but I am in a valley so I head to Yoho national park (again) in order to do a few hikes. The weather in Glacier park has defeated me again which is a shame - maybe next time. I hike around the Emerald lake and get to the trail head which leads me up by the river and towards a glacier and there are also avalanch passages from historic slides. Along the way there is a nice meadow with lots of juicy berry bushes - black, red and yellow ones to choose from and also some wild raspberries too. For some reason I am using the whistle every minute while I am here just in case as there is some serious grub for a furry bear dude to munch on.
