

Aug 10th. After arriving in Courtenay yesterday and spending an afternoon sorting out accomodation/car hire for the Rockies - I head up north for about 2 1/2 hours to Telegraph Cove. There is reputedly the best Whale watching action located near here in the Johnstone straight and a lot of Orca's (Killer Whales) are sighted as well as humpback and grey whales. I board the boat and we head out at 13:00 - the reports on the morning session are that it 'doesn't get much better than that'. Hopefully my trip will be as good. The scenery is spectacular and we sail between various islands seeing Stellar sealions, Bald eagles, Pacific White sided dolphins and ....
