Fox Glacier

Eventually we reach Fox Glacier, We turn off down the side road and head off to see the glacier. It is pretty spectacular how it snakes its way along the valley and also you can see how it has carved the valley as well. The pictures don't do it justice as it is huge and stretches up the mountain. It is a grey colour due to all the rocks in it. The valley it has created has lots of stripes in it which the glacier has carved in its various advances/retreats.
