Taupo in the Rain

May 21st. It is cloudy and raining in Taupo today. We venture out early and head to the Orakei Korako which is described as the best natural Geothermal area in the world. It is raining pretty heavily when we arrive so we decide to not bother and try again after lunch. It is time to decide where we go next as well so I kill time by doing some research. We have to come back to this area to skydive and also do the walk around the Tongariro Northern Circuit. Not much point doing either of these in bad weather (and you aren't allowed to anyway).
