After lunch we venture out and switch into Japanese tourist mode as we have lots of stops and I have to take lots of pictures of all the various activities. First stop is the Huka falls, It is NZ's version of Niagara falls (In terms of volume of water anyway). The rapids that proceed the falls are pretty impressive - I think they would be classed as 'Certain Death' rapids for white water rafting. A huge lake channels into a small gorge and then the water comes out at the end. Pretty impressive stuff. You can get a boat and get reasonably close to the falls but you wouldn't want to get too close.
