Napier

The town of Napier, Largely destroyed by an earthquake/fire in 1931 features lots of Art Deco type buildings as these were all the rage in the 30's. It definitely has the feel of an old english sea side town - it was pretty quiet as well seeing as it is out of season here. We have a wander around town and check out some of the buildings and also see the Statue of the Pahia - This was stolen in 2005 but was found and now she has her place back in the park. The picture is of the statue.
