Mount Taranaki

May 24th. The weather is just a tad better today although there is a bit of cloud around. Some peoples homes got washed out in mud about 20km from New Plymouth where we were staying and someones Beamer went for a swim in the sea. We set out and actually can see the dominant feature of the region - Mount Taranaki - a 2600metre extinct volcano. We drive a bit closer but the cloud isn't condusive to getting some good pics - We also check out Dawson Falls which is cool - lots of water coming down due to the excessive rainfall yesterday.
