The Weathermen Lied

May 22nd. Supposedly the forecast was for rain which guided our decision to not climb up Mt Tongariro (Mt Doom) and do the Tongariro Crossing. The day started a bit misty in Taupo but this cleared leaving lovely blue skies - not much we could do as you have to start the walk early so it was too late to change our minds. We drive past the National Park and head off - We'll be back!
